Why you’ll love Veritas Prep:

I thought prepping for the test on my own would be sufficient. It was only after enrolling in the class that I realized the magnitude of the GMAT. My Veritas instructor provided me with an understanding of the test that I could not have experienced on my own.
-Adam H.

The staff, the teachers, the work material and the methodology are one of a kind. It's been a great experience and it definitely paid off.
-Rodrigo G.

Veritas exceeded all of my expectations. There is a resource for any need a student might have. And it's great that we still have access to all of the resources even after the course wrapped up!
-Lisa H.

I just can't see how another test prep course could be more complete. Also the ability to retake the course within a year is an incredible bonus.
-Anna D.

Whether you've been out of school for a decade or you are planning on jumping into graduate school right after receiving your undergraduate degree, Veritas Prep can help you prepare for your upcoming GMAT with the right Miami GMAT prep course for your individual learning needs. If one of your academic goals is to pursue a graduate degree at the nearby Chapman Graduate School of Business at Florida International University or Barry University - Andreas School of Business, then you may need to first receive a satisfactory score on a graduate admissions examination. One of the most well-known exams is the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). We recognize how hard you've worked to get where you are and how important your goals are to you. It's our mission to provide high-quality academic support to help students just like you work towards achieving your educational goals.

The GMAT has been developed over the past half-century with the help of the nation's most prestigious business schools. It is currently presided over by the Graduate Management Admissions Council and is considered an important indicator of an individual's predisposition for graduate school. The test uses four sections to evaluate those skills deemed crucial to success in business. Your final GMAT score provides colleges a reliable measurement for assessing your suitability for their MBA program. Leveraging a Miami GMAT prep course as part of your exam prep strategy gives you professional resources and insight into what it takes to score well.

Choosing the right Miami GMAT prep course is as easy as determining your personal academic needs and style. All of our GMAT prep solutions have the potential to provide you with a critical advantage over those individuals preparing for the test on their own. With professional educational resources and the right support structure, you will be able to prepare for the format and content of your upcoming examination with confidence. With the help of Veritas Prep, you gain access to the educational guidance and experience which can have a positive effect on your confidence and performance on the GMAT.

What does the GMAT cover?

The GMAT is composed of four individual segments: Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, Integrated Reasoning, and the Analytical Writing Assessment. If you opt to take both possible breaks, you will have about 3.5 hours to complete all four sections of the test. While this may seem like more than enough time to complete the exam, it is essential to note that each section has its own individual time restrictions. Considering the significance of the exam, identifying the proper Miami GMAT prep course should be a high priority for all graduate school candidates who are serious about being admitted to their preferred school.

In the Verbal Reasoning section of the GMAT, you will find three types of questions: reading comprehension, critical reasoning, and sentence correction. You will have 65 minutes to answer 36 multiple choice questions. Some of the reading comprehension questions require you answer questions from the reading passage, draw inferences, and follow quantitative concept development. The critical reasoning questions have you make arguments, evaluate arguments, and form or evaluate a plan. Sentence correction items evaluate your ability to identify parts of a sentence, make grammatically correct selections, and choose options that offer the most precise expression of a concept. The section is intended to demonstrate your proficiency in complying with conventional writing standards. A Miami GMAT course can help you practice these valuable skills which will not only factor into your test score but will also be used throughout your academic and professional career.

In the Quantitative Reasoning portion of the GMAT, you will find two types of questions: problem-solving and data sufficiency. You will have 62 minutes to answer 31 multiple choice questions. Problem-solving questions can require the use of logical reasoning or analytical reasoning skills to determine an answer. Data sufficiency questions ask you to analyze a problem and then select pertinent data and determine if there is sufficient data to solve the problem.

In the Integrated Reasoning part of the GMAT, you will encounter four types of questions: multi-source reasoning, table analysis, graphic interpretation, and two-part analysis. You will have 30 minutes to answer the 12 multi-part questions. Each of these types of questions evaluates different skills business schools find appealing in candidates. They demonstrate your ability to admissions officials to utilize data analysis as part of your process of making decisions.

If you want to work on improving your score for this section of the test, there are several skills you will need to perfect. For example, you will need to be able to quickly assess and prioritize the details you are given from a diverse mixture of sources and then incorporate it to efficiently and correctly solve a problem. Data analysis is a fundamental skill for completing an MBA program, and you can work to improve this talent with the help of a professional instructor and high-quality test preparation materials.

In the Analytical Writing Assessment of the GMAT, you will have 30 minutes to review and evaluate an argument. This portion of the test is used to assess your critical thinking skills and competency in written communication. You will not need prior content area knowledge to complete this analysis as all pertinent information will be included in the reading selection.

If you struggle with writing, reading comprehension, analytical skills, or time management, professional GMAT preparation can support your efforts in strengthening these critical areas. Whether you need assistance in accurately analyzing arguments and preparing your response or you need help refining your process and supporting your position, working with an experienced instructor can help. These are skills you will need to rely on again and again as you move through your graduate studies and further in your professional career.

Aaron Pond truly loves connecting with his students who count on Aaron to be a mentor, a friend, and a resource throughout the entire MBA application process. While the GMAT isn’t rocket science, Aaron could do that as well after receiving his undergraduate degree in Astrophysics from BYU. Since then, Aaron graduated first in his MBA cohort (also from BYU), and finished his doctoral coursework in Educational Leadership at the University of Utah. Aaron’s engaging teaching style and creative methodologies help students look at questions from a totally different perspective, turning horrendous problems into simple, 20-second solutions.
Even though Aaron has read all of the Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings books in German (which seems like one of those “genius-y” type of things), Aaron likes to say, The major work of the world is not done by geniuses. It is done by ordinary people, with balance in their lives, who have learned to work in an extraordinary manner. (Gordon B. Hinckley) As Aaron explains, “It is not just super-geniuses who ace the GMAT. It takes a balanced, calculated approach and it certainly takes work, but anybody can drastically improve their score.”

Aaron was a great teacher.
Aaron was a great teacher. He knows great techniques that  will help you improve your GMAT score. Thanks to Veritas Prep and Aaron, I'm a second year MBA student at one of the nation’s top MBA programs  and already have a full time job offer for when I finish my second year. I recommend Veritas Prep and Aaron to all my friends.

I really could feel like he cared about each student
My teacher Aaron went out of his way and put in extra time and effort to make sure all my questions were answered. He took time in each class to make sure each student understood the concepts clearly and still moved at an appropriate pace.  I really could feel like he cared about each student, not just his contract with Veritas Prep.

I haven't seen an instructor as well prepared as he is.
Our instructor Aaron Pond is a great guy always concerned with each student in our individual needs. I haven't seen an instructor as well prepared as he is.

Anthony Ritz: he’s really, really skilled at chess (he’s a U.S. Chess Federation-rated Expert), so unless you have some serious Gambit Game, we’d recommend you avoid facing him on the chessboard, and instead, take advantage of his exceptional math mind.  A native of Stone Mountain, Georgia, and a graduate of Georgia Tech and Georgetown Law, Anthony’s passionate about getting his students to the GMAT score they want.
“It’s great to be able to show people that math on the GMAT isn’t really about grinding harder or being a genius. It’s about understanding what’s really important and then combining that realization with a skill set that every prospective MBA student is capable of possessing. It’s exciting stuff!”
Anthony’s track record speaks for itself (he’s helped students lift their scores by as much as 230 points), and honestly -- he’s just a great guy.  But again, for the sake of your own self-esteem, ask him about his cats, talk to him about the Braves… but if you’re killing time with him between lessons, avoid the chessboard.

Anthony is a fantastic teacher!
Anthony is a fantastic teacher! He is not only great at getting the concepts across, but also changing the way you think about numbers and logic in general.  He changed the way I will add, subtract, and multiply for the rest of my life! You can tell by the way he talks and teaches that he genuinely cares about his students and our success.

He always went above and beyond
My instructor, Anthony Ritz, was absolutely amazing. He is very knowledgeable on the test material and takes pride in making sure each class member understands each problem type. He has an endless book of tricks that he is able to articulate in a very easy to remember way. I emailed and instant messaged him many times during the week, outside of class, and he was always quick to respond with multiple ways to look at problems that were confusing me. He always went above and beyond to ensure that everyone was clear on what was going to be tested. He always offered to stay late to review any additional problems that may be confusing.

You never feel like your time is being wasted.
I took a 6 week GMAT course with Anthony Ritz and was so impressed by the professionalism of Veritas instructors. Anthony is one of those super-humans, who received perfect scores on every standardized test from the LSAT to the GMAT to the GRE. My past experience with SAT tutors was to stay away from the wiz kids because they didn't know how to teach/translate their genius, but Anthony does. His lessons were content rich, but contained added bonuses like calculation shortcuts and tricks to approaching problems. Anthony edited many of the Veritas books, so his familiarity with them is impressive. He knows exactly which problems are most challenging so he cherry picks the best examples to work through in class. You never feel like your time is being wasted.

BA, University of Washington
After receiving her degree in Physiology from the University of Washington, Erika took what she thought would be a short-term position teaching at a private tutoring academy while she finished her grad school applications. Several years and many score reports later, she was directing the academy, developing all new curricula for a wealth of standardized tests, and loving every minute of it. When an opportunity arose to write test content for an edtech company in Boston, Massachusetts, she bade the Pacific Northwest farewell and took a harrowing cross-country plane ride with her two very unhappy cats (for concerned readers, they have since forgiven her).
Since arriving in the Northeast, Erika has contributed to writing and editing thousands of GMAT and GRE questions and explanations, hundreds of lessons, and a growing number of instructional YouTube videos. She uses her experience being a testmaker to teach her students how to truly think like one — a process that not only yields impressive score improvements, but also empowers students to develop long-lasting critical thinking habits.
In her spare time, Erika enjoys making the most of her tiny kitchen and scoping out new taco joints. She still hasn’t finished a single grad school application, but at this point, she’d much rather help you with yours!
