Admissions at Fuqua
What Fuqua Is Looking For
Fuqua uses four criteria for admission to its programs:
- Applicants who they believe will be successful in the program. (This typically means that you’ve proved you can do the academic work and that they can help you with your career goals.)
- Applicants who will add significant value to the program and the school throughout their professional, personal, and academic experiences. (This is another way of asking how you’ll contribute and how the learning environment will benefit from your presence. Remember: Community is an integral part of the school’s culture.)
- Applicants who believe diversity in thought and background are important within their community.
- Applicants who demonstrate competence, character, and purpose, and have the strongest potential to be leaders of consequence.
(If you’re paying attention, you’ve noticed that “leader of consequence” phrase cropping up pretty regularly. If you’re not paying attention, now might be a good time to start reflecting on how you meet that criterion.)
