Entrepreneurship & innovation. NYU Stern’s Berkley Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation offers a comprehensive program of courses and practical experience for future entrepreneurs. Stern’s culture encourages an entrepreneurial approach from academics to on-campus clubs. More and more students are pursuing this path during their time at Stern; 3% of the Class of 2014 reported starting their own businesses after graduation .
Admissions: The Interview
Who is selected to interview? Interviews at Stern are by invitation only, and only about 30% of all applicants receive an invitation, which is quite low compared to other schools. The Stern interview is typically conducted on campus, although some off-site interviews are possible—in particular in India, England, and China, depending on the specific candidate pool each year. (The school will also help candidates schedule lunch with a current student while visiting campus, which provides another opportunity to gain insight into the program.)
