Perhaps the most important part of studying for an exam is taking care of yourself. A well-balanced diet of whole grains, fruits, vegetables, and proteins keep your brain functioning at its best. You should also participate in some kind of physical activity on a daily basis. Whether you start your day with exercise or use it to break up the time you spend studying, being physically active is an important part of being healthy and keeping your brain at peak functionality. Moreover, sleep is an important component of test prep for college students. While you are not taking information in during sleep, your brain requires rest! A lack of sleep can do more harm than good, especially when it comes to taking final exams.

When you do begin studying, make sure you remove any distractions. Keep your phone in another room on silent to avoid being distracted by text messages or social media notifications.
