Top GMAT Classes in Washington, DC

Washington, DC, is best known for politicians, but the city also has a vibrant business community. If you want to stand out in a crowded pool of job seekers, earning an MBA from a local educational institution such as Georgetown University may help you climb the corporate ladder. Of course, that’s easier said than done. Business schools have rigorous admissions criteria to determine which candidates can actually handle their curricula. In fact, you might even need to take a standardized test called the GMAT designed specifically for business schools. If so, Veritas Prep offers a comprehensive Washington GMAT class to help students like you prepare for the exam.

The GMAT (or Graduate Management Admissions Test) is a digital test consisting of four sections: Integrated Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing. The Integrated Reasoning section assesses how well you can apply what you have learned in the classroom to business scenarios. The GMAT’s Verbal Reasoning section measures your grasp of the conventions of the English language. Its Quantitative Reasoning section measures your mathematics skills.

All three of these sections utilize a multiple-choice, CAT format. CAT stands for Computer-Adaptive Testing and simply means that the computer selects questions based on how you are doing on the test. If you are doing well, the questions get harder to challenge you. If you’re missing quite a few, the computer will give you easier questions in order to ascertain your level of knowledge. Some students get nervous whenever they see several easy questions in a row, so our Washington GMAT class covers strategies for concentrating exclusively on the question in front of you.

The Analytical Writing section differs from the rest of the GMAT in that it is an open-response essay question. If you find the prospect of composing a timed essay daunting, our class covers outlining techniques to help you organize your thoughts on exam day.

Each of our Washington GMAT classes is taught by a knowledgeable instructor who personally earned a score within the 99th percentile when they took the exam, making them a great source of info about the test. All instruction takes place in our innovative online classroom, so you can ask for help in real time. Interactions between students are also supported to help foster a productive, collaborative learning environment.

At Veritas Prep, we appreciate the value of your time and offer multiple Washington GMAT classes concurrently to help you find one for your schedule. Our self-study GMAT course is also included so that you can study between class sessions. If you’d like to learn more, please use the information on this page to contact an academic advisor today!
