BS, Nebraska
Bill Robinson:  You probably don’t want to play him in Scrabble.  He plays with his family, he plays on his phone (a lot)...and since he’s dreamt of being a literal “rocket scientist” for most of his life, that means he probably knows words like “aeroelasticity” (which is worth SO many points). So, for the sake of your own self esteem, we’d recommend chatting with Bill about his Nebraska Cornhuskers or his passion for Arsenal Soccer instead of engaging in a “friendly” game of Scrabble.

Being someone who’s extremely proficient in logic and reasoning, it’s not surprising that his favorite subject to teach is Data Sufficiency. “I actually find the ‘logic puzzle’ element to be pretty interesting, so I love sharing that with my students. It's a problem type that tends to baffle almost everyone at first, but being able to shed light on how it works and how to beat it is extremely rewarding.” If you doubt his sincerity, then know that he has actually asked the rhetorical question: “Who wouldn’t want to talk about logic games for a living?”  We’ll let everyone out there answer that for themselves. But our question at Veritas is a bit different: “Who wouldn’t want to learn about Data Sufficiency and Logic from Bill Robinson?”

Crazy brilliant and very approachable
A big shout out (do people still say that anymore?) to my instructor Bill. Crazy brilliant and very approachable, always arrived to class early to help me with the homework and frequently stayed hours afterwards to walk us through the questions. My test is next week and I would not be as confident walking into this if it wasn't for Bill and the very encouraging staff at Veritas Prep. Thank you very much!

I would highly recommend Bill to any future student.
Bill Robinson was an OUTSTANDING instructor! He was available anytime for extra help and he really cared about our class performing well on the gmat. I would highly recommend Bill to any future student.

I cannot express how awesome he is.
I have ZERO feedback for Bill. As much as I appreciate constructive criticism, I cannot provide Bill with any. He is an amazing instructor and easy to talk to who finds ways of explaininge logic through various ways. Bill should be a highly valued instructor with Veritas. I cannot express how awesome he is.

Amazing, Caring Instructor!
I thought Geoff was amazing. He was one of the best who cared, was fun to talk to, and was always concerned about my work.

Instructor knows the SAT.
Geoff knew what he was doing and pointed out mistakes that I made while I was completing the SAT practice tests... pointing out these obscure mistakes that I would have never figured out on my own really helped improve my overall SAT score.

His methods of teaching were very effective
When I took my first SAT practice test, I was very disappointed with the results so I decided to study with a tutor. Fortunately, Mr. Caveney was my SAT tutor. His methods of teaching were very effective and he taught me approaches that I would have never thought of....When I first started studying, I never thought I would get a score of 1800. With Mr. Caveney's diligience, I got a 2030. Words cannot describe the elation that I felt when I saw my score.

Education:
BS, Georgetown
Rita grew up in the countryside of Northern California, where she spent a childhood exploring old redwood forests and reading beneath California oak trees. As she grew older, her adventurous nature took hold, and she began to backpack all over the world, learning Portuguese and Spanish and working as a teacher in low-income communities in North and South America. Her passion for education intensified during her four years in college, culminating in a three-month trip to Somalia to research women's health and education.

She recently graduated from Georgetown University with a degree in Science, Technology, and International Relations, and she is enjoying decompressing after a decade and a half defined primarily by academic institutions. She still loves reading, and has become very invested in writing both fictional short-stories and non-fiction essays. She keeps long lists of new words she encounters when reading - which comes in handy when teaching the Reading and Writing portions of the SAT and ACT - and she is determined to impart that habit on all of her students.

I would strongly recommend her to other students.
Rita was absolutely amazing. She really cared about how we were doing and did everything she could do to help us with the SAT. She also made the class very interesting. I would strongly recommend her to other students.

Education:
BS, UC Berkeley
A Texas native raised in California, Courtney attended UC Berkeley on a full scholarship and graduated in 2016 with a degree in political science. Outside of teaching, she works at Human Rights Watch as a John Gardner Fellow and was named on the Center for Development and Strategy's 2016 list of 30 Under 30 Leaders of Tomorrow.

Her love of teaching was born in volunteer work: assisting her piano teacher, reading English and Spanish books to children at her local library, and offering academic tutoring at her high school. That interest soon evolved into privately teaching classical piano and spending a summer teaching English and music courses at an English-Chinese language immersion program in China. She continues her passion for teaching working with ACT and SAT students at Veritas Prep.

Able to explain complex concepts in the most simplest ways.
Courtney was very personable and able to explain complex concepts in the most simplest ways. She taught different techniques to use for difficult sections such as the vocabulary and reading section that made taking the test a lot easier.

She is the best tutor/teacher I've ever had.
Courtney  was caring, patient, and understanding. She worked with us (the class) incredibly well, and no one was left out. She kept everyone in tuned with the topic, and truly gave an effort to improve us. I felt like her sole duty was to improve my SAT taking skills, and that's it. During the sessions, she was dedicated and got through all the curriculum. She even did more work than needed in order to improve our weak spots. She is the best tutor/teacher I've ever had.

I would recommend her to anyone
She was a great instructor. Before taking this class, my score on practice SAT tests had been below my expectations. However, once Ms. Courtney Tran taught me all of the 2400 strategies, my SAT score on practice tests increased by more than 250 points. With her help, I am now meeting my own expectations. I would recommend her to anyone who seriously needs help on a section of the SAT. She will go through the strategies step by step and make sure that you understand it. If I get a really good score on my SAT when I take it, a huge part of my success will be attributed to her. Because of her, I understand reading passages better and am able to connect them with the questions to make my reading struggles much easier than before.

Luke is an attentive, tenacious tutor who has tremendously helped me improve my overall understanding of calculus, as well as improve my ability to be creative while solving calculus problems. He's supportive, assertive, and I highly recommend him to anyone else looking for a math tutor.

Education:
BA, University of Washington
After receiving her degree in Physiology from the University of Washington, Erika took what she thought would be a short-term position teaching at a private tutoring academy while she finished her grad school applications. Several years and many score reports later, she was directing the academy, developing all new curricula for a wealth of standardized tests, and loving every minute of it. When an opportunity arose to write test content for an edtech company in Boston, Massachusetts, she bade the Pacific Northwest farewell and took a harrowing cross-country plane ride with her two very unhappy cats (for concerned readers, they have since forgiven her).

Since arriving in the Northeast, Erika has contributed to writing and editing thousands of GMAT and GRE questions and explanations, hundreds of lessons, and a growing number of instructional YouTube videos. She uses her experience being a testmaker to teach her students how to truly think like one — a process that not only yields impressive score improvements, but also empowers students to develop long-lasting critical thinking habits.

In her spare time, Erika enjoys making the most of her tiny kitchen and scoping out new taco joints. She still hasn’t finished a single grad school application, but at this point, she’d much rather help you with yours!
