About SAT Subject Tests
SAT® Subject Tests are national, standardized tests that are given on particular academic subjects. SAT® Subject Tests cover content learned in high school classes and are used by college admissions as a standardized gauge of achievement among their applicants. Subject tests allow students to demonstrate their mastery of popular high school subjects and show their readiness for college. Because SAT® Subject Tests are standardized, they help admissions committees get a more accurate picture of your academic achievements. Many colleges require students to submit scores for one or more SAT® Subject Tests.
SAT Subject Test Content
SAT® Subject Tests are all one-hour in length and most are exclusively multiple-choice. Some specialized SAT® Subject Tests in foreign languages such as Spanish with Listening will also include a portion that requires listening to pre-recorded audio to test listening skills.
