Why you’ll love Veritas Prep:

INSTRUCTORS

If I could go back and have all of my teachers and coaches since I was old enough to start kindergarten modeled after one particular person, it would be my Veritas Prep instructor.
-Ryan W.

CURRICULUM

I feel the course helped me learn how to digest information in a way that business schools and companies are looking for. I definitely learned better "higher-order" thinking principles.
-Brad S.

RESOURCES

My experience with Veritas was phenomenal. The material they sent me prior to the course was thorough and taught me a lot. Plus my instructor kept the class fun and exciting.
-Trim R.

RETAKE

Veritas has pleasantly surpassed my high expectations. Retaining a full year of online resources and the privilege to retake the course at a later time has proven immeasurably valuable to my journey.
-Jim S.

Which is your favorite lesson to teach?
I love teaching Algebra.  I think it is a really fundamental skill, and mastering it can give students a significant leap forward in their Quant studies.  I have a degree in Mathematics and really enjoy working with others to help them feel more comfortable with math in general.

What is your favorite quote?
If you can dream - and not make dreams your master, if you can think - and not make thoughts your aim; if you can meet with Triumph and Disaster and treat those two impostors just the same.
- Excerpt from IF, by Rudyard Kipling

I believe that in order to be successful in life you need to be able to keep your head in the game and not fixate on how you are doing or performing.  Failure and success are a part of life and are temporary. It's all a journey and this quote reminds me to put my energy in to giving my best in all situations, to keep moving forward, and to never get caught up in a big win or loss.

Real reviews

Sara was great
She was very caring about the student's scores, she took the time to answer questions, and gave excellent overviews on the exam. I could not have had a better experience.

Sarah is such a great instructor
I think Sarah is such a great instructor and person. She genuinely cared about our preparation for the test and our post graduate school aspirations. I had to drive every weekend from Santa Barbara but I knew it would be worth it because Sarah never disappointed .

Created a great atmosphere for learning
Sara Boem was great. She cares about student's progress and would always make herself available if students had any concerns/issues outside of the night of class itself. All I can say is that she is very intelligent, created a great atmosphere for learning, and she is a great human being. I will recommend her to my friends and colleagues.

Which is your favorite lesson to teach?
Data Sufficiency. I actually find the logic puzzle element to be pretty interesting, so I love sharing that with my students.  It's a problem type that tends to baffle almost everyone at first; being able to shed light on how it works and how to beat it is extremely rewarding.

Which movie/TV character would do best on the GMAT and why?
Dexter Morgan from 'Dexter'.  He's brilliant, thorough, perceptive, and clever.  Thinking like the testmaker would come naturally to him.  Also, his dad seems pretty sharp, so having an extra voice in his head on those tricky Data Sufficiency questions would be handy.

If you weren’t teaching the GMAT, what would you be teaching instead?
Probably the LSAT.  Reasoning has always been a strong suit of mine, and who wouldn't want to talk about logic games for a living?  Okay, pretty much everyone but me.

Crazy brilliant and very approachable
A big shout out (do people still say that anymore?) to my instructor Bill. Crazy brilliant and very approachable, always arrived to class early to help me with the homework and frequently stayed hours afterwards to walk us through the questions. My test is next week and I would not be as confident walking into this if it wasn't for Bill and the very encouraging staff at Veritas Prep. Thank you very much!

I would highly recommend Bill to any future student.
Bill Robinson was an OUTSTANDING instructor! He was available anytime for extra help and he really cared about our class performing well on the gmat. I would highly recommend Bill to any future student.

I cannot express how awesome he is.
I have ZERO feedback for Bill. As much as I appreciate constructive criticism, I cannot provide Bill with any. He is an amazing instructor and easy to talk to who finds ways of explaininge logic through various ways. Bill should be a highly valued instructor with Veritas. I cannot express how awesome he is.

What do you love about teaching?
I always like to say, “I don’t teach lessons, I teach people.”  My favorite part of teaching is the ability to connect with other people and figure out how we may think about things differently. Just because you approach a subject, an idea or a problem differently than someone else, that doesn’t mean that it’s necessarily right or wrong—it’s just different.  I love to see how different people view the world around them in such vastly divergent ways. As a teacher, my goal is to meet them where they are now—how they think, what they see, the process they’re most comfortable with—and try to open their eyes to a different approach, a new discovery, or a beneficial thought process. Yes, it may help them on the GMAT, but hopefully it helps all of us to be a little more flexible in our outlooks on life.

Which is your favorite lesson to teach?
One of the things I enjoy is bringing structure to seemingly nebulous things. Therefore, I love to teach Sentence Correction. Usually about half of my students absolutely HATE Sentence Correction when they start. Let’s face it, English is an absolute mess. Who came up with this disaster of a language? However, you don’t have to be an expert grammarian to do well on these problems. With a structured approach to the problem and implementing a strategy called “Decision Points,” you can get the right answer with limited knowledge (and effort). I just love to see my students’ eyes light up when we teach this strategy and it completely transforms their entire view of these problems.

My instructor, Travis Morgan, was phenomenal.
He was able to teach difficult concepts in simple ways so that everyone could understand.   Veritas Prep dissects the GMAT so that you know exactly what to expect and gives many helpful hints so that you know how to think like the test makers. The books that come with the course actually explain short cuts to doing the problems and walk you through step-by-step.  Seriously everyone in my class was very happy with the course and felt that it was well worth the money.

His classes were very dynamic
My instructor Travis Morgan (LA) was awesome!; he helped me to focus on effective strategies to tackle the GMAT! His classes were very dynamic and gave us advices out of the (material from his personal exprience as a test taker). My instructor and Veritas Prep are highly recomended!!

Special praise must be given to instructor Travis Morgan
whose upbeat personality kept me awake after a full day of work. Highly recommend
