Hear from RitaRita grew up in the countryside of Northern California, where she spent a childhood exploring old redwood forests and reading beneath California oak trees. As she grew older, her adventurous nature took hold, and she began to backpack all over the world, learning Portuguese and Spanish and working as a teacher in low-income communities in North and South America. Her passion for education intensified during her four years in college, culminating in a three-month trip to Somalia to research women's health and education.
She recently graduated from Georgetown University with a degree in Science, Technology, and International Relations, and she is enjoying decompressing after a decade and a half defined primarily by academic institutions. She still loves reading, and has become very invested in writing both fictional short-stories and non-fiction essays. She keeps long lists of new words she encounters when reading - which comes in handy when teaching the Reading and Writing portions of the SAT - and she is determined to impart that habit on all of her students.
Real reviewsI would strongly recommend her to other students.
Rita was absolutely amazing. She really cared about how we were doing and did everything she could do to help us with the SAT. She also made the class very interesting. I would strongly recommend her to other students.

Hear from SteveSteve started tutoring his peers while in high school and continued it during his time at both UCLA and Oxford University. He instructs a wide array of subjects from the SAT to Calculus to the political theory of the American Revolution. Thanks to this wide range of experience Steve has been able to not only be a tutor, but become an instructor at UCLA earlier than most. In 2008, while still an undergraduate, he was asked to instruct various summer courses that normally are offered to UCLA's graduate students. He has been teaching there every summer since 2008.
Real reviewsI would most definitely recommend him to others
Steve taught me so many tips and kept the class moving at a great pace. Thus, I would most definitely recommend him to others that are preparing for their SAT
