When the GMAT uses the word "phenomenon" in its answer choices, which definition of the word should I be thinking of when attempting to answer the question? Does the word change meaning when you are given a business related passage over a science related passage? Any other useful tips? Thanks!

We'd really have to address this in the context of an actual problem. Can you point us the the page / problem number in the Reading Comp text?
