 Post subject: Albegra Problem #94

Can you please help explain best approach for solving? Also, what are the key variables to focus on? (I had difficulty associating the variable z with the original (q and r) function. thanks!

q @ r = (q + 3)(r - 2)

1 @ z = -8

so, per the above (put 1 in for q and z in for r )... (1 + 3)(z - 2)
= - 8

(4)(z - 2) = -8

z = - 2
