GMAT gets 300 more questions acoording to one of the Indian news paper "Times of India". In the new format, in the sentence-correction section, there is an increased emphasis on pronoun and modifier rules, while there is reduced focus on comparisons and idioms-related questions. Similarly, in the reading comprehension questions, the Graduate Management Admission Council - the global authority to prepare the test papers - has created a balance between short and long passages. Two biology passages have been replaced with one social science passage and one business-related passage.

While the number of inference questions has increased significantly, general and specific questions have remained the same. "Roman numeral questions have been removed, indicating GMAT may move away from these.

Now please tell what should I do with the veritas study material?

The higher-ups may know more about this than I do, but I tend to agree with the consensus online, which is that the Times of India got it wrong, and is incorrectly referring to the fact that the GMAT *Guide* was updated this year with new questions. Considering the lack of a press release from GMAC, that seems to be the most likely interpretation. Here's a link to another GMAT forum where this is being discussed:

Also, it's possible that the Times of India came across the following press release and confounded this information with the data about the new Official Guide:

http://www.gmac.com/gmac/NewsandEvents/ ... enGMAT.htm

The short version is that the GMAT is undergoing substantial changes...in 2013. Until then, we can be pretty confident that the test is going to be the same animal we've all come to know and love, with only minor changes in emphasis (like the "more number properties and less geometry" trend that we've noticed over the past few years).
