Hi Everyone,

I am Trapti, from London. I enrolled in 42 hours Mon/Wed class starting from 10th Jan 2011. I am looking forward for the course.

This is my first attempt to do GMAT and I am hoping that I will be able to manage it with a full time (very pressing) job.

Trapti

Hi Trapti,

Excellent question! The tips below will ensure that you take full advantage of your resources, leading to more successful GMAT results:

GMAT Prep – We suggest that you complete Lesson Zero–Math Essentials prior to your first class. This lesson is not covered in class, but works wonders to refresh your fundamental math skills. There is a practice test in this book, as well as a corresponding pre-recorded lesson under “Veritas Prep On Demand” in your TrueTrack account. In addition, we recommend that you complete one of our GMAT practice exams in your online TrueTrack account (one of the two “GMATPrep” exams are a good choice), so that you can see roughly where your score stands & set your goal for improvement.

I would also suggest familiarizing yourself with your online account. Sign in, change your password to something more familiar, and poke around so that you can find your pre-recorded lessons, practice tests and homework support. Not a lot of students take advantage of our homework support via email/phone – Be sure that you do, as you are connected with live instructors 7 days a week with any course content questions you may have.

TrueTrack Account
Online access for 1 year after your course start date
42 Hour Complete Course Pre-Recorded Lessons*
*It is recommended to pair lessons with the books & not study just the books on your own
15 Computer-Adaptive Practice Exams
7 Diagnostic Quizzes
Live Instructor Support via Phone & Email
Email Response within 24 Hours (help@veritasprep.com)
Phone Support Hours (800-816-VERI):
Mon-Thurs: 7pm-11pm EST
Fri: 1pm-6pm EST
Sat: 1pm-3pm EST
Sun: 8pm-10pm EST

Remember! You have unlimited online access to your TrueTrack account for 1 year, and a complimentary course retake within 1 year of your original course start date – Plan accordingly!

Happy Studying!

Hallie

Hey! My name is Alex. I am enrolled in the Mon/Wed online class.

I took the GMAT about a year ago trying to rush to meet some application deadlines. Wasn't
mentally prepared, super stressed, had some really bad days leading up to the gmat; rushed through a Kaplan study book in a few weeks which ultimately made me spend more time trying to figure out how to use their stratgies and have them not work on the test. As a 4.0 college grad and as an honors student, my quant/verbal score was definitely not up to par for what I needed it to be and thus I didn't apply. Got a 6 on the writing so not too worried about that.

My friend just took Veritas Online and he scored a 740. I would have never imagined he'd ever get above a 600 so something worked for him.

Unfortunately I had to miss the first class as I was out of the country and most likely will have to miss tonight's class (should be the only 2, cross my fingers). I thought I could rewatch the class somewhere and this week/end catch up on the materials & homework; or is it just the on-demand stuff I can watch?
