Hi I need some advice in what should I study in order to improve my GMAT score:
English is my second language.
Toefl ibt = 85

Actual GMAT 2011-04-23 17 31 410
800score 2011-05-31 34 29 530
800score 2011-06-19 28 32 510
Actual GMAT 2011-06-21 18 36 460
800score 2011-06-27 18 30 400
GMAT Simulator 2011-07-11 27 36 530
GMAT prep 18 30 400
Actual GMAT 2011-07-27 17 33 430

My weaknesses are understanding, vocabulary, grammar. Speed is my enemy.

Sometimes I think I got the CR and RC problems right but it's an entirely different story.
I have been studying grammar and RC strategies to improve the Verbal part but it has not move at all.
I already retake the course twice.

what do you guys recommend?

Hi Eduardo,

Please remember that it's not your job to master "English" but rather the GMAT questions. It's much more about the common words - transition language in RC, the conclusion in CR, the common errors in SC-than anything that requires a ton of reading.

My biggest piece of advice is to narrow your focus on what really matters -keep reviewing our Veritas Prep strategies and practice focusing only on what you know is essential. These articles should help with that...

Also please feel free to contact help@veritasprep.com for any homework support. We also have lots of helpful information on our blog and facebook page.

Hope this helps and good luck with your studies!
