I just became a member of Veritas On Demand today, and I was a bit overwhelmed when I logged on and not sure where to start. I'm wondering if I could just get a rough outline of when to take the diagnostic quizzes/ practice tests and when to watch each course. I don't know whether to begin with diagnostic quizzes or study then do them. I took a cold GMAT with no prep and received a 610 (Quant 46/Verb27) if that helps at all. I was expecting there to be a schedule with what order to do the diagnostic quizzes along with the lessons. There still could be and I haven't done enough research. If anyone has anything that may help, I'd really appreciate it.

Hi,

Welcome to Veritas Prep! GMAT Prep – We suggest that you complete Lesson Zero–Math Essentials first. This lesson works wonders to refresh your fundamental math skills. There is a practice test in this book, as well as a corresponding pre-recorded lesson under “Veritas Prep On Demand” in your TrueTrack account. In addition, we recommend that you complete one of our GMAT practice exams in your online TrueTrack account (one of the two “GMATPrep” exams are a good choice if you are working on a PC), so that you can see roughly where your score stands & set your goal for improvement.

Suggested Syllabus
If you have the time, I would suggest following the same guidelines as our in-person 7 week courses and working through two lessons per week, one verbal and one quant. If you follow the books in numerical order, it will take you through the same course curriculum as the in-person classes. Please be sure you pair your books with the pre-recorded lessons online so that you get the most out of each lesson; those lessons will ensure that the Veritas Prep concepts within each book are clearly explained. Before you begin, first work through Lesson 0 / Math Essentials and take a practice exam so that you can see where your score stands, then proceed as follows:

Week of 1 – Lesson 1 & 2
Week of 2 – Lesson 3 & 4
Week of 3 – Lesson 5 & 6
Week of 4 – Lesson 7 & 8
Week of 5 – Lesson 9 & 10
Week of 6 – Lesson 11 & 12
Week of 7 – Lesson 13 & 14
2-3 Weeks Later - EXAM

*It is recommended to pair lessons with the books & not study just the books on your own
15 Computer-Adaptive Practice Exams (17 inculding GMATPrep practice tests)

7 Diagnostic Quizzes
The diagnostic quizzes are separated by subject, so you should complete the associated quiz at the end of the week in which you cover that topic. For example, Algebra is week two, so do the Algebra homework then the Algebra diagnostic quiz before moving onto week three. They’re like midterm progress checks to make sure you have it before you move on to the next topic…

Integrated Reasoning
We currently have the Integrated Reasoning section incorporated with our Lesson 13 Analytical Writing Assessment and Verbal Review. You can now access the new Integrated Reasoning lesson by following the steps below:

1) Log into your True Track account
2) Click the On Demand Lessons tab on the left hand-side of the screen
3) In the drop down box, choose lesson 13B for the Integrating reasoning lesson.
***The Integrated Reasoning handout link is located under the viewing screen under the On Demand tab
You can also check out our Integrated Reasoning FAQ page (this page contains Integrated Reasoning Sample questions) on our website:

Happy studying!

Best Regards,
Jenny & The Veritas Prep Team
