I have done Engineering(4 yrs) from a renowned University of India (Burdwan Univ) but not sure if the B-schools in US are aware of it.I had secured 75% in my degree with no track record of failure in any paper in any semester(We had 8 semesters).
Currently I am working in Asia's top IT consultancy firm for around 5.6 years full time. I had been deputed to US for a period of 2 years as a Consultant.

I am scoring 700 in practice GMATs and aiming for the same.
I have published 2 Technical papers which were accepted in National Conference held in India.
I have 2 weak points in my view :-
I was due for a promotion last year but due to economic crisis, the company has postponed all promotions till the coming July and hence this has eventually got delayed by 1 year. Do I need to specify this in my essays and be frank?
Also, my high school board exam(high secondary -) percentage is just 60% although my secondary board exam record(class 10) is 75%.(I am sorry as I donot know what are the equivalent exams in US.)

I want to know from you 4things :-
1. In short what you feel about my profile.
2. Are the weak points I have pointed out -really weak in front of adcom?
3. Can I get through in either of Harvard, Stanford, UC Berkeley or UCLA.
4. I am worried about how I can cover my finances if selected as the tution fees is huge for me.If I happen to get admitted, is there any option where I can get the entire amount waived due to my poor financial condition? If yes, can you give me a brief idea relating to some typical Indian candidates who have gone through and persued MBA programs in these top schools.
Request you to please be honest with your review.I wont mind if I am dreaming too big.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Overall, your profile looks good especially if you can actually score 700+ on your actual GMAT. You should not worry about not being promoted. However, you should be able to show that you were given more responsibility over time. Your high school board exams could be a weak point but only if your high school and undergraduate grades were below average.

It is difficult to say whether you can get into the schools on your list. These past two years have been especially competitive for MBA applicants. And there is an extremely large pool of Indian applicants. The key to being a competitive applicant is to show intellectual aptitude via GMAT scores and previous grades, professional growth, extracurricular interests and clear short and long term goals. It also helps if you fit well with the program and can demonstrate that you will add value if admitted.

There are not many MBA programs that provide full scholarships. Perhaps your employer can sponsor you or you can seek a student loan. Otherwise, you should just contact each school and find out what resources are available for international applicants.
