I am a rising junior interested in applying to the 2+2 program and was just wondering if you might be able to help me ascertain that it is a program that'll suit my interests. I heard about the program through friends my freshman year and since then, I've researched the program and I have found that I really think I'll be a good fit. I am just trying to get an initial assessment before I can finalize my plans to enroll in one of the GMAT and MBA Admission programs.

I am pursuing a BS in Civil and Environmental Engineering with a focus on Environmental Engineering (and more specifically, energy) with minors in Engineering Leadership Development from Penn State University.

I have a cumulative GPA of 3.9 and I am yet to take the GMAT, but I am hoping that it should be around 750 or more. I would eventually like to work for The World Bank or the Asian Development Bank in initiatives that would popularize sustainable energy initiatives in the developing world, since I hail from South Asia myself.

Apart from that, my extra curricular activities and work experience are as follows:

- Summer Internship at a water resources management firm as an environmental engineering intern
- Study Abroad to China during the summer of 2009 to study the impact of history, culture, society and environment on engineering in China
- Study Abroad at the London School of Economics to study environmental economics and sustainable development
- Continued involvement in the Penn State Dance Marathon. Dancer for the first year (It's a 46 hour dance marathon where 700 dancers neither sit nor sleep, and it's the world's largest student run philanthropy) and as the youngest Finance Captain for my second year (I was one among 24 people who counted and credited $7.8 million dollars)
- Part of the Schreyer Honors College and hoping to do a honors thesis on the impact of sustainable energy initiative implementation in developing countries based on models from the US
- Youngest recruit of Chi Epsilon for my year (The National Civil Engineering Honors Society)
- Represented class in the New York Times Speaking Contest, and spoke about over dependence on fossil fuels.
- Summer School at Harvard studying the architecture of Boston and archaeology. Was involved in a dig at the Harvard Yard to unearth the remains from the original Harvard College.

Apart from this, I am an international student and I am highly motivated and passionate towards alternative energy development. My other interests lay in photography, piano and creative writing, all being passions I've pursued for years now.

I really appreciate your help! Thanks.

Hi,

I believe you could be very competitive for the 2+2 program and that it could be a great fit for your goals and progression. Given that you are about to become a junior, you have plenty of time to plan around next year's deadline. Start working now to line up the best possible letters of recommendation.

If you are interested in working with a consultant on your 2+2 application, the time to start thinking about that would be in the winter or spring of next year, so that you have plenty of time, but also the maximum "ammunication" to use in your essays.

So, short answer, yes, this could be a great fit for you.

Hope that helps.

Hey, thanks for your reply. Is there someway in which I can talk to someone at Veritas Prep in order to figure out which package I might be able to utilize? And if I choose to enroll at Veritas, what would the ideal time for that be?

Thanks!
