First, you don't necessarily have to read the passage in 2 minutes. Since each passage has 3 - 4 questions, you have 6 - 7 minutes to read the passage and answer the associated questions.
Focus your preparation on reading at the "right" speed -- not so slow to remember everything in the passage, but not so fast as to feel that you have to go back and re-read it in its entirety. After you read it you should be able to remember generally where things were in it. Also (see the Veritas text for details), as you read it, focus on scope - tone - and author's main point.
Reading comp passages are purposely written to be difficult. Try to work on some of them each day at times when you are best able to focus.
