The paintings of Andy Warhol reflect the contemporary American culture,
much LIKE/AS Thomas Cole's do.

Can you use "like" and "as" interchangeably here?
"As" is more appropriate since what follows it
is a clause (...do) not a noun.

"as" is preferred in this case due to the presence of the verb, "do".
