i dont know how to approach such questions?...any thoughts
With a record number of Combergians purchasing their first cell phones and with new communications companies entering the marketplace, a record number of new customers purchased calling plans in Comberg last year. This year, Combergians are purchasing first cell phones at lower rates than they did last year. Therefore, unless a record number of Combergians purchase cell phones this year, Comberg will not break its record for new purchasers of cell phone plans.

Which of the following is an assumption on which the argument relies?

This year, the average number of cell phones sold for new companies will be lower than it was last year.

Many of the cell phone plans purchased last year included a two-year contract, preventing those customers from purchasing new plans this year.

This year, there will not be a substantial number of people who do not purchase cell phones for the first time who purchase cell phone plans in Comberg for the first time.

The revenues of Comberg’s communications companies will be lower this year than it was last year.

The population of Comberg aged 15 and older is not substantially greater this year than it was last year.
