Id like to know why statement 2 is not sufficient by itself -

The problem states there are 40 cars in each row. Statement 2 tells us that there are currently 10 rows of cars, meaning we have 400 cars. The problem says that there will now be 30 rows... so isnt this as easy as dividing 400 by 30 and rounding up?

Thanks.

The parking spaces are going to be widened (will fit 30 cars instead of 40), but we are also told that the rows are going to be lengthen to allow fewer rows (but we are not told how many fewer)

statement 2 is not sufficient because it tells us how many rows there are now, but not how many there will be.
