Why is B sufficient?

Statement (2) is not sufficient

the mean for June, July, and August was 75. So the total was 75*3 = 225

if the sum for July + August was 160, the amount for June must have been 225 - 160 = 65.

All we know is that June did not have the highest bill. We have many possibilities for July and August:

10 + 150

30 + 130

80 + 80

70 + 90

etc.

p = angle QPR
r = angle PRQ
x = angle PRT
y = angle TRS

p = q since QR = PR ... so r + 2p = 180

from (2) x = y ... so r + 2x = 180

r + 2x = 180

r + 2p = 180

r + 2x = r + 2p

x = p ... since x = p QP i parallel to TR

x and p are opposite interior angles to lines QP and TR (which is intersected by PR) when opposite interior angles are equal the corresponding lines are parallel
