Pg 60 question 6
Can you explain this answer for me:
What is the result if .00667/800 is divided by .025/3000

I can somewhat understand how they turned .0067 into 2/3 * 10^-2. however it seems as if that should be over 800. Instead the 800 and the 3 (from the 2/3) are both in the denominator.

Also why did they turn .025 into 2.5 * 10^-2 instead of 25 * 10^-3

thank you

.00667/800 is divided by .025/3000 (invert and multiply)

.00667/800 * 3000/.025

3000/800 * .00667/.025 .... multiply top and bottom of 2nd part each by 100

30/8 * .667/2.5

(30 * .667 )/8 * 1/2.5 .... .667 = 2/3 ... 30 * 2/3 = 20

20/8 * 1/(25/10)

20/8 * 10/25
