 Post subject: Arithmetic Percentage Question

Please let me know if there is a way to solve this problem by plugging in numbers in place of the variables.

"If M>0 and X is M percent of Y, then, in terms of M, Y is what percent of X?"

Sure!
If M>0 and X is M% of Y, then in terms of M, Y is what percent of X.
The tricky part is picking numbers that work all the way around -
but it can be done.
Let's let X be 10 and Y be 20.
Thus, X is 50% of Y.
(M is 50)
In terms of M, Y is what percent of X.
Y is 200% of X, so in terms of M, that 4M.
