F + N = 108 fiction + non fiction

H + S = 108 hard cover + soft cover, S = 108 - H

N = (2/3)H + (1/4)(108 - H) two-thirds of the HC + one-quarter of the SC

N = (5/12)H + 27

H needs to be an integer. need to pick "H" such that "N" is an integer. since there are "some softcover", H can't be 108, next largest it can be (to allow N to be an integer)is 96

So, to make sure I'm understanding this, if you use 72 as "H", you also get an integer for "N" but it it does not express the maximum number of books which could be non-fiction... Is that correct?

Thanks!
