In the xy-plane, at what two points does the graph of y = (x +a)(x+b) intersect the x-axis? a+b = -1 and y-intercept = (0, -6). Please let me know what steps you would do to solve this problem. It was a data sufficiency on a practice test but I wanted to see how to actually calculate it. Thank you for your help.
