I had basic question regarding standard dev from the veritas stats class:

1. What happens to the SD when

a> All elements of set S are increased\decreased by a certain percentage.
{my ans}: SD dev will increase\decrease by a known amount.


b> All elements of set S are changed by a constant amount.
{my ans}: SD will remain unchanged and only the mean will change.
