Hello,

I can't explain how you find your factoring for:
What is the flow rate of 270 gallons/hour expressed in pints per minute?
(1 quart = 2 pints ; 1 gallon = 4 quarts)
The solution isn't sufficient...

Thank you

270 gallons / 1 hour * 1 hour / 60 minutes * 4 quarts / 1 gallon * 2 pints / 1 quart.

The units will reduce here (or cancel, depending on what terminology is more comfortable for you) as long as we have, for example, gallons on top and on bottom, and hours on top and on bottom, and quarts on top and on bottom.

This leaves us with final units of pints per minute.

Our numbers are : 270*1 * 4 * 2 over 60, which is 270*4 / 60 which is 18.
