I'm lost, How to solve 3/X = 7/(x+12) ?

3/X = 7/(x+12)
Multiply both sides by x:
3 = 7x / x+12
Multiply both sides by x+12
3(x+12) = 7x
3x + 36 = 7x
Subtract 3x from both sides
36 = 4x
Divide both sides by 4
9 = x
