Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on the past year, give thanks for all the good that is in your life… and be completely stressed out. Between gathering ingredients to roast the perfect turkey, formulating your plan of attack for Black Friday shopping, arranging your holiday decorations (Didn’t we just finish Halloween?), and mentally preparing yourself to interact with family members you may or may not be excited to see, add to that the stress of preparing for your educational future.

It was just 18 months ago when we shook up the college test prep space by announcing Veritas Prep SAT 2400. Since then, thousands of high school students and their parents have discovered what makes Veritas Prep special when it comes to tackling standardized tests: The best instructors rigorously applying a proven system for success that any student can learn.
Can you spend hours on the phone without being distracted by an ocean view outside your window? Good. Can you handle working in an energetic startup-like atmosphere? Great. Most importantly, do you absolutely love talking to customers and brightening their day? Perfect. We’re looking for a Customer Experience intern who matches this description!
There goes another year. Faster than you can say “99th-percentile instructors,” 2013 has come and gone, leaving in its wake a trail of excellent Veritas Prep blog articles. As we start to wrap up the year here at Veritas Prep HQ, wrap our Secret Santa gifts, and prepare to break in the new hires at our annual holiday party, we thought this would be a good time to share some of our biggest news and most popular articles from the past year.
Merry Christmas, and happy holidays from our Veritas Prep family to yours! We thank you all for another great year, and we are very excited for 2014. Many thanks to all of our loyal readers, students, instructors, and consultants for being a part of our team this year.
Take a break this holiday season, and treat yourself to some R&R before the next round of application deadlines!
Here at Veritas Prep, we have a long list of reasons to be thankful this year! From our students, to our incredible teachers and admissions consultants, it’s truly been an amazing year.
We are excited to announce that starting today through Monday, December 2nd we are making available our biggest discounts of the year on all of our services (discounts on MBA admissions consulting services will be available through Wednesday, December 4)! Whether you are trying to hit Round 2 business school deadlines or are planning on taking the SAT next year, make sure to take a look at our discounts and register before these prices are no longer available.
Admit it. If you’re going to take the SAT, you want to know how well you might score before taking the actual test. But you want to know NOW, not after a 4-hour practice test. Luckily for you, what Veritas Prep has learned from its over 10 years of experience with the computer-adaptive standardized tests is that you can actually reach a very accurate prediction of a test-taker’s performance with a smaller set of questions than is currently on the full SAT. Just like how Nate Silver could predict every state correctly for the 2012 presidential election using representative sampling, a well-designed practice test can accurately predict your SAT score in less than half the time of taking the full test itself.
Perhaps it started on a January day in Chicago when elementary school students greeted teacher Frankie Beecroft, recently named Veritas Prep’s Worldwide Instructor of the Year, with an enthusiastic “Good Morning, Teacher of the World!” But maybe it started well before that, in classrooms and at dinner tables in Missouri and Michigan, New Jersey and Norway as the students who would become the leaders of Veritas Prep were inspired by teachers. Whatever the genesis, our lifelong appreciation of teachers and our firm belief that they deserve recognition for their yeoman efforts has led us here.
Believe it or not, 2012 is almost over. If you’re reading this, it means that the world hasn’t ended, and that at least some of us still have electricity and Internet access, so we’re ending on a good note! As we at Veritas Prep wind down the year, we thought we’d share some of our biggest news, best posts, and most interesting topics from the past 12 months.
It’s easy for all of us to get caught up in the stress of trying to get ahead at work or (if you’re reading this blog) trying to get into a top-ranked grad school, it’s healthy to stop for a few moments and realize just how good most of us have it. No matter where you are or what you’re doing right now, you probably have something in your life that makes you want to give thanks. Do yourself a favor and spend a few minutes to think about it before you enter a tryptophan-induced coma today.
We here at Veritas Prep HQ are thankful for the hundreds of amazing test prep instructors and admissions consultants that we have all over the world. While we don’t get to see most of them very often, we know that they care about helping our GMAT and SAT students, as well as our admissions consulting clients, as much as we do. We’re thankful that they’re there to get the job done, all day, every day.
If you’re in the U.S., enjoy your turkey! If you just like to eat poultry, go ahead and enjoy your turkey! And while you’re snacking on leftovers, be sure to find us on Facebook and Google+, and follow us on Twitter!
Since launching our SAT course this summer, we have been hard at work building the most effective SAT preparation program available anywhere. Our goal is for both students and parents to have 100% confidence that they have done everything in their power to maximize their chances for SAT success. This week, The National Parenting Center recognized our dedication to SAT mastery by awarding Veritas Prep SAT 2400 with its Seal of Approval.
The National Parenting Center’s Seal of Approval program is an independent testing procedure conducted to judge a variety of products introduced and marketed to the parent/child consumer market. Evaluations are solicited from parents and their children on products and services from educational and entertainment to travel destinations.
