Hear from SidhiSidhi was born in Brookfield, Wisconsin, a suburb of Milwaukee. She was named a National Merit Finalist and National AP Scholar in high school and won the Cardinal Stritch piano festival as well as the Civic Music Association scholarship her senior year. A Classical Studies fanatic, Sidhi took first place in the Academic Decathlon and was named MVP of a Latin-based quiz bowl competition at the National Latin Convention. She went on to concentrate in Neuroscience at Brown University, where she was later inducted into the Sigma Xi honor society. Her first summer of college, Sidhi became a branch manager for Ivy Insiders, a program which allowed students to set up their own mini-tutoring companies. She was ecstatic to witness her help result in an average ACT score boost of 6 points for her students. Later in college, she also tutored for BRYTE, a student-led program which pairs undergraduate tutors with refugees from Southeast Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. While she is currently pursuing a film career in both acting and production in Los Angeles, Sidhi is excited to keep tutoring students to beat standardized tests!
Sidhi was very knowledgeable and even provided some of her own outside information when teaching us the roots of words and their meanings.
I loved her!
Sidhi was awesome - she presented everything in a way that made it easily learnable. I loved her! I feel so lucky to have gotten her, she was a huge blessing.
Hear from BeauBeau is a Connecticut Yankee and professional musician currently living in Washington State. During his senior year in high school Beau enrolled in an SAT prep course and improved his SAT score by over 300 points. He was immediately hired as an instructor and taught for over 10 years. Beau has experienced first hand what a great SAT teacher can do for a motivated student, and he has a true passion for teaching students how to smack down the SAT. While at Yale, Beau played drums and sang in various funk bands, majored in Latin and Greek Literature, ran the New York Times distribution service for the Yale campus, taught the SAT, and rowed on the Yale Crew - winning the 1992 National Championship and traveling to England to row in the prestigious Henley Royal Regatta . When he is not teaching the SAT, Beau can usually be found playing music or floating down a river with fly rod, in search of the mythical Troutzilla.
Real reviewsBeau was amazing
Beau was amazing, not only always paying attention and never distracted, but he cared a lot about his students.
Thank you Beau!
My instructor made the lesson both interesting and engaging. Thank you Beau!
I feel very prepared thanks to him.
Beau was the best instructor I could ask for. He is funny but so helpful. I feel very prepared thanks to him.
Hear from RitaRita grew up in the countryside of Northern California, where she spent a childhood exploring old redwood forests and reading beneath California oak trees. As she grew older, her adventurous nature took hold, and she began to backpack all over the world, learning Portuguese and Spanish and working as a teacher in low-income communities in North and South America. Her passion for education intensified during her four years in college, culminating in a three-month trip to Somalia to research women's health and education.
She recently graduated from Georgetown University with a degree in Science, Technology, and International Relations, and she is enjoying decompressing after a decade and a half defined primarily by academic institutions. She still loves reading, and has become very invested in writing both fictional short-stories and non-fiction essays. She keeps long lists of new words she encounters when reading - which comes in handy when teaching the Reading and Writing portions of the SAT - and she is determined to impart that habit on all of her students.
Real reviewsI would strongly recommend her to other students.
